Emergency repairs at Fall Creek in Ithaca after car crashes through wall during police chase

The Ithaca City School District Board of Education has approved up to $100,000 for emergency repairs at Fall Creek Elementary School.

This decision comes after a car crashed into the school’s east wall on February 8, causing significant damage.

The funds, which are expected to be partly covered by insurance and state aid, will address repairs beyond the insurance coverage, including roofing, wall repair, and plumbing work.

The incident, resulting from a high-speed police chase, ended with a car being pushed into the school’s brick wall.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
