The Syracuse Orange secured a bounce-back win on Tuesday night, outlasting the No. 7 North Carolina Tar Heels, 86-79, at the JMA Wireless Dome.
Syracuse improved to 16-9 on the season, 7-7 in the ACC, and 12-2 at home.
Four players finished in double figures for the Orange. Judah Mintz led the way with a game-high 25 points on 8-for-11 shooting from the field. JJ Starling netted 23 points while Maliq Brown poured in 14 and Chris Bell added 13.
This was Syracuse’s first win over a Top 10 team since a 95-91 overtime win at Duke in the 2018-19 season.
