The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Cato man following a vehicle theft investigation.
On February 13 deputies responded to Powers Road in an attempt to locate Edward Babiarz, who was wanted for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
The warrant stemmed from an incident on February 1, where he took a relative’s vehicle without their permission for a period of time.
Additional information about the incident wasn’t available.
However, Babiarz was taken into custody and transported to the Cayuga County Jail to be processed.
