The Buffalo Sabres suffered a second straight loss on Saturday afternoon, falling 3-1 to the St. Louis Blues at the KeyBank Center.
Buffalo (22-25-4) fell behind in the first period but tied the game early in the second on Kyle Okposo’s 10th goal. However, that was the only offense the Sabres could generate, and St. Louis tallied two more.
Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen stopped 23-of-26 shots, including 11 in the third period.
Buffalo went 0-for-3 on the power play and 1-for-2 on the penalty kill.
The Sabres will continue their homestand on Tuesday when they welcome the Los Angeles Kings for a 7 p.m. faceoff.
