High-speed chase ends in damage at Ithaca school

A vehicle pursuit in Ithaca’s Fall Creek Area late-Thursday led to significant damage at Fall Creek Elementary School. An Ithaca Police Officer spotted a vehicle speeding and attempted to pull it over for traffic violations. The driver, however, fled and ended up crashing into a parked car, pushing it into the school building, causing heavy damage.

The chaos continued as the driver tried to hit a police car in reverse, missed, and then hit the parked car again, driving it further into the school. The police managed to arrest the driver after a brief foot chase. The identity of the driver is currently withheld due to the ongoing investigation, with charges to be announced later.
