Seneca County Sheriff Tim Thompson says a Rochester man is in custody after resisting arrest following a roadside drug investigation.
On February 2 investigators arrested 25-year-old Kalease O. Reid for third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal use of drug paraphernalia, and criminal possession of a controlled substance as a misdemeanor.
During a traffic stop, Reid was the back seat passenger in a vehicle that was observed making a turn without using a turn signal. Following a roadside investigation, it was found that Kalease was in possession of crack cocaine and a digital scale.
Upon attempting to take Reid into custody, he physically resisted arrest. He was transported to the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center where he was processed at the Seneca County Jail.
The charges will be answered at a later date.
