The Waterloo Police Department arrested a Waterloo man on a weapon charge after an investigation from mid-January.
James Vroman, 38, of Waterloo was arrested for criminal possession of a weapon.
It’s alleged that he accepted a 9 mm handgun as collateral for giving another person cash and a rental car. It was discovered that when he did so, he didn’t possession a valid pistol permit.
He was charged with possessing an ammunition feeding device with more than the legal number of rounds loaded into it.
All told Vroman was issued an appearance ticket and will answer the charges at a later date.
