The St. Peter’s Community Arts Academy Teen Choir is set to host a pre-tour concert on Saturday, February 10, at 7:30 p.m., in the sanctuary of St. Peter’s Church, Geneva, before their UK tour. This 22-member choir, led by Wendra Trowbridge and accompanied by Dr. MaryAnn Hamilton and Jered Slusser, will showcase a mix of sacred and secular music, featuring works by notable composers such as John Rutter, Elaine Hagenberg, Alan Menken, and Andrew Lloyd Webber.
This tour marks the choir’s seventh visit to the UK since 1999 and holds special significance as it will be the last tour for Father Jim and Sue Adams, who will retire in June. They founded the choir program 43 years ago, achieving their dream of creating a robust choir capable of performing in England’s esteemed cathedrals.
The concert, free and open to the public, invites donations. It offers the Geneva community a chance to experience the choir’s repertoire before their international journey. The St. Peter’s Community Arts Academy, a non-profit organization, has been offering a wide range of music and dance programs since 2005, living up to its mission, “Arts for All.”
