The Syracuse Orange suffered its first home loss of the season Tuesday night, falling to the Florida State Seminoles, 85-69.

Syracuse (13-6, 4-4 ACC) held a 36-35 lead at halftime, but 15 total turnovers and 1-for-14 shooting from beyond the arc resulted in the double-digit loss.

Judah Mintz led all scorers with 28 points and was one of just two Orange players to finish in double figures. JJ Starling poured in 10 points, Maliq Brown added eight points, and Chris Bell hit the team’s only three-pointer.

This is Syracuse’s first loss to Florida State since January 15, 2022. The Orange had won the last two matchups and 10 of the previous 16.
