The Ontario County Women’s Republican Club, in partnership with Zeldin Cares, brought holiday cheer to veteran families this season. The club successfully filled over 350 Christmas stockings for veterans, their children, and shut-in veterans. This initiative was part of the VA Program, Operation: Making Spirits Bright, and included distributing gift cards, toys, personal care items, and household goods.
Trisha Turner, President of the club, recognized the efforts of members Annie Chwiecko and Bonnie Ross in organizing this support. They collaborated with Regina Deck, Program Manager at the VA Finger Lakes Health Care System’s Center for Development and Civic Engagement. Deck praised the club’s efforts and expressed gratitude on behalf of the VA staff and veteran community for the generous donations.
The club’s impactful work was further bolstered by the partnership with Zeldin Cares and the Monroe County Federated Republican Women. The collaborative effort extended the reach of their holiday program, providing additional support to the Veterans Outreach Center. President Trisha Turner expressed heartfelt thanks for the contributions that brought joy to veteran families, embodying the true spirit of Christmas.
