  • Staff Report

Wegmans has issued a recall for Bright Farms salad kits in seven states due to a potential risk of Listeria contamination, as alerted by the FDA.

Customers who have purchased these salad kits should immediately check if their products match the recalled items. All affected products carry a “Best By Date” of January 15, 2024. The specific products included in the recall are Bright Farms Chickpea Caesar Crunch Salad Kit (6.5 OZ), Sunny Bacon Crunch Salad Kit, Southwest Chipotle Crunch Salad Kit (5.85 OZ), and Mediterranean Crunch Salad Kit (6.35 OZ), with their respective UPC codes.

This recall is a precautionary measure against microbial cross-contamination. Customers who find they have purchased any of these products can return them to the Wegmans service desk for a full refund. It is crucial for consumers to check their purchases and ensure food safety.
