The Kiwanis Club of Canandaigua is gearing up for its 10th Annual Chef & Sip Challenge, scheduled for March 3 from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Hotel Canandaigua. Local chefs, wineries, breweries, distilleries, and other beverage makers are invited to showcase their culinary and crafting skills. The event, expecting around 300 guests, will also feature a “huge” silent auction, and sponsors are welcome to contribute.
This culinary contest will have celebrity judges awarding plaques to the top tastings. The Chef & Sip Challenge is more than a gastronomic affair; it is a significant fundraiser for the Kiwanis Club. Annually, the event raises up to $12,000, with all proceeds funding community and children’s activities, including scholarships and various support programs for veterans and military families.
Participation in the Chef & Sip Challenge is free, but space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Interested chefs and beverage makers are encouraged to contact the organizers at (585) 474-3427 for more information.
