The Penn Yan local school district has announced the availability of petitions for candidates interested in running for three upcoming school board seats. These positions will be filled during the annual budget vote and election of board members on May 21.
The election will determine two three-year terms and one four-year term on the board. The candidate receiving the highest number of votes will be awarded the four-year term.
Prospective candidates can obtain petition forms from the district office at One School Drive, available weekdays from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Completed petitions must be filed with the district clerk by April 22.
For further information regarding the election process or petition details, interested individuals can contact district Clerk Katie Champlin at 315-536-3371. This election provides an opportunity for community members to participate actively in the local education system.
