Sabres earn second straight shutout, defeat Blackhawks 3-0

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen made 19 saves, and the Buffalo Sabres got a shutout win for the second straight game, 3-0, against the Chicago Blackhawks at KeyBank Center on Thursday night.

It’s Luukkonen’s third shutout overall this season, and he hasn’t given up a goal in 157:40.

Zemgus Girgensons (4), JJ Peterka (14), and Rasmus Dahlin (13) scored for the Sabres (20-21-4), who have won six of their last ten games. Ryan Johnson tallied two assists, while Peyton Krebs, Jack Quinn, Casey Mittelstadt, and Alex Tuch added one.

Buffalo went 1-for-6 on the power play and a perfect 4-for-4 on the penalty kill.
