Waterloo’s interim superintendent will make $750 per day through June 30

Robert Banzer, the interim Superintendent of Schools for Waterloo, will be compensated at a rate of $750 for each full work day, as recently revealed following a Freedom Of Information Law (FOIL) request by the Finger Lakes Times.

They initiated the request leading to the release of these salary details. Initially, when Banzer’s appointment was announced in December, the Board of Education President Wendy DiSanto did not disclose his salary, citing confidentiality of employment contract terms.

Banzer, who recently retired as superintendent of the Northport-East Northport Union Free School District in Suffolk County, started his role in Waterloo on January 3 and is set to serve until June 30.
