The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office provided an update on a personal injury crash that happened on Friday around 1:35 p.m.
According to a news release, first responders were called to the intersection of County Road 28 and Shortsivlle Road for an automated report of a crash from an iPhone.
After an investigation it was determined that Kathleen Batz, 77, of Pittsford was traveling west in an SUV on Shortsville Road when she failed to yield the right of way to Jakob Omay, 22, of Palmyra, who was traveling north through the traffic circle there.
Batz was transported to FF Thompson Hospital for treatment of a head injury.
Batz was cited for failing to yield the right of way.
