The Seneca Falls Police Department reports the arrest of a 45-year-old woman, following a disturbance at a local residence.
According to police, investigation revealed a conflict between a 45-year-old mother and two of her children, one of which was 14-years-old and under the influence of alcohol.
Police say the 14-year-old engaged in a physical altercation with his brother, and was restrained to the ground. At that point, investigators say the woman kicked her 14-year-old son in the head.
The child sustained abrasions and a lump on his head due to the kick.
She was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and assault. Police said the mother was released on an appearance ticket to answer the charge at a later date.
An order of protection was requested on behalf of the child.
