Sabres forward Jeff Skinner week-to-week with upper-body injury

The Buffalo Sabres announced Thursday morning that forward Jeff Skinner is week-to-week with an upper-body injury.

Skinner suffered the injury during Tuesday’s 5-2 home loss to the Seattle Kraken but still scored a goal and tallied an assist.

Head coach Don Granato spoke to the media about the injury:

“In one week, we’ll kind of know how far this thing’s resolved,” Granato said. “When you’re dealing with something like a broken bone — this is not a broken bone — you can put a timetable on it. This is a little different, softer tissue.”

Skinner leads the Sabres with 17 goals and is second on the team with 33 points in 38 games, behind Casey Mittelstadt (35 points).
