Radigan Media Group, known for its family-owned local radio stations, has expanded its portfolio by acquiring three Elmira/Corning stations: 94 Rock WLVY, Today’s Hot New Country 99.5 WOKN, and 1410 WELM. This acquisition follows a year-long lease management agreement with Tower Broadcasting, which began on January 1, 2023, and concluded last week with the official purchase.
The addition of these stations, along with four associated FM translators, positions Radigan Media as the largest locally owned independent broadcast radio company in the Binghamton, Elmira, and Corning areas. The company now boasts a total of 17 signals, covering over 5,000 square miles, enhancing its reach and influence in the region.
Founded in 2005, Radigan Media’s growth has been steady, starting with WEBO in Owego in 2006 and subsequent acquisitions over the years. The company’s diverse station lineup includes Adult Contemporary, Classic Hits, News/Talk, Classic Rock, Top 40, and Mainstream Country, reflecting a commitment to varied musical and informational offerings for its listeners.
