Auburn family rescued after high winds topple tree onto house

A major wind storm caused chaos in Auburn on Tuesday night, leading to a dramatic rescue of a family. High winds brought down a tree onto a house on Franklin Street, trapping a mother and her two children inside.

The Auburn Fire Department reported they responded to 70 emergency calls, most of which were related to storm damage like fallen trees and power lines. The most urgent call was for the family trapped on the second story of their home after the tree blocked their main exit.

Thankfully, the family was safely rescued through a second-floor window. The mother and her two young children were unharmed. Meanwhile, tenants on the first floor managed to escape through the garage.
