In a significant political move, Rep. Claudia Tenney and challenger Mario Fratto, both Republican candidates in New York’s 24th Congressional District, have endorsed Donald Trump for president.
Tenney’s endorsement came after Fratto publicly criticized her in early December for not supporting Trump.
On Friday, Tenney praised Trump’s previous term, citing achievements like border security, economic growth, and American energy independence. She contrasted these with the current Biden administration’s challenges, advocating for Trump’s return to restore prosperity and security.
Fratto, who had endorsed Trump on December 12, highlighted the successes of Trump’s presidency, including a secure border, energy independence, and international respect. He expressed disappointment in Tenney’s initial reluctance to endorse Trump, emphasizing his commitment to aligning with Trump’s leadership without waiting for political trends.
The 24th Congressional District includes Ontario, Seneca, Wayne, and Yates counties.
