Justina Maria Hughes, a 28-year-old woman from Geneva, who tragically lost her life in an incident outside the Kodak Center in Rochester on New Year’s Eve is being remembered fondly by family and community.
Born in Florida and having lived in Newark, Hughes was a graduate of Webster Schroeder and worked at Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
Hughes, known to her friends and family as Nina, is remembered for her free-spirited nature and love for the outdoors, music, and art.
She is survived by her mother, sister, nieces, nephews, and extended family, leaving behind a legacy of love and inspiration.
The community will honor Hughes with calling hours on January 13 at DeVaney-Bennett Funeral Home, Geneva, and a Remembrance Candle Light Service on January 14 at the Kodak Center, Rochester.
