The Waterloo Police Department says a local teen was taken into custody after making threats toward another last month.
Police arrested the 17-year-old, who they said would not be identified due to age, after they sent threatening messages to another child.
The 17-year-old was charged with harassment and issued an appearance ticket for Waterloo Town Court at a later date.
An order of protection was also requested on behalf of the victim.
