The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Lyons man following a one-car crash on Saturday.
Around 2:30 a.m. deputies arrested Adriaan Sergeant, 27, for DWI and driving with a BAC over 0.08%.
These charges stem from an investigation into a single-car crash, where Sergeant failed to maintain his lane while southbound on Canal Street in Lyons.
His vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a porch on Jackson Street.
Further investigation determined that Sergeant was under the influence of alcohol. His BAC was determined to be 0.13%.
He was issued an appearance ticket and will answer the charges at a later date. The extent of the damage done to the home was not specified.
