The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Geneva man following a family trouble investigation in the town of Gorham.
According to a news release, Nathaniel Waffner, 40, was dispatched to a scene in Gorham on January 3 when a mother and son got into an argument.
Waffner was instructed to leave the property as his mother no longer felt safe with him there.
Deputies tried taking Waffner into custody; and he resisted. He fought with deputies before being taken into custody.
As result of the incident, Waffner was charged with second-degree assault, trespassing, criminal trespass, and resisting arrest. The assault charge stems from injuries sustained to one of the deputies.
He was arraigned and is being held at the Ontario County Jail until his next court appearance on January 8.
