While the Watkins Glen Police Department has ended its request for public assistance locating a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run – no charges have been announced.
The incident was labeled a pedestrian hit-and-run incident on Friday night, according to police. It happened around 5:40 p.m. on December 29 at the intersection of Fourth Street and North Franklin in Watkins Glen.
It involved a dark blue SUV, which struck a pedestrian and fled the scene.
In an update over the weekend, police announced they have identified the car involved in the incident, expressing gratitude to the public for their help.
They encourage anyone with additional information to reach out by emailing [email protected] or sending a message via the Watkins Glen Police Department’s Facebook page.
The investigation into the hit-and-run continues, with no arrests announced yet.
