Syracuse erases double-digit deficit to beat Pittsburgh, extend win streak to five games (full coverage)

The Syracuse Orange erased an 11-point second-half deficit to pick up an 81-73 victory over the Pittsburgh Panthers on Saturday afternoon at the JMA Wireless Dome, extending its win streak to a season-high five games and improving to 10-3.

The Orange trailed 41-30 with 18:54 left in regulation but went on a huge run to take the lead and never looked back, outscoring the Panthers 51-35 in the second half.


Four players finished in double figures for Syracuse. Leading the way was Quadir Copeland, who had a career-high 22 points, including 13 from the free-throw line. Maliq Brown and Benny Williams poured in 15 points each, while Judah Mintz added 13. 

Syracuse shot 47% from the field, 17% from beyond the arc, and 80% at the foul line.
