The New York Lottery confirmed that one of the five third-prize-winning tickets for the December 23 Powerball drawing was sold at a 7-Eleven in Wayland, located on East Naples Street.
This ticket, along with the four others, is valued at $50,000. The announcement came on Sunday, following the Powerball draw.
The other third-prize tickets were sold across various locations in New York, including a Mini Mart in Forest Hills, KRM Grocery INC in Jackson Heights, Sullivan County Food Mart in Liberty, and Victory Convenience LLC in Staten Island.
The Powerball game selects winning numbers from a pool of one to 69, and the red Power Ball is drawn from a separate set of one to 26. The Powerball drawings are held three times a week, every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.
