Sheriff Brian Schenck says a local man faces felony charges after a motor vehicle accident during the overnight hours on December 10.
According to a news release, deputies were on-scene of an unrelated accident when they observed a vehicle pass by them that appeared to be damaged. They noted that the vehicle’s airbags also appeared to be deployed in that vehicle as it passed.
Deputies initiated a traffic stop, where they found the operator – Kevin Hernandez, 23, intoxicated. He was arrested for DWI and a felony count of operating without a license.
Hernandez was transported to the Cayuga County Jail and will answer the charges at a later date in local court.
