Jamison Emanuel, a resident of Lyons, has been found guilty of multiple charges, including attempted murder, by a Wayne County jury.
The conviction, stemming from an incident that occurred on December 22, 2022, in Newark, was announced by District Attorney Mike Calarco in a press release last Friday.
Emanuel was also convicted of criminal possession of a loaded firearm and grand larceny, marking a decisive outcome to the case.
The trial, which commenced earlier in the week, was prosecuted by First Assistant District Attorney Christine Callanan and presided over by County Judge Rick Healy. Following the jury’s verdict, Emanuel is scheduled for sentencing on February 22.
