Four-goal third period lifts Sabres over Golden Knights

The Buffalo Sabres got back in the win column with a 5-2 victory over the Vegas Golden Knights at T-Mobile Arena on Friday night.

The game was knotted at one after 40 minutes, but a four-goal third period lifted Buffalo, who improved to 13-15-3 on the season.

Four Sabres finished with multi-point nights. Casey Mittelstadt led the way with two goals and an assist. Dylan Cozens, Zach Benson, and Alex Tuch also found the back of the net. Devon Levi stopped 33-of-35 shots.

The Sabres will cap off a three-game West Coast trip Saturday night in Arizona against the Coyotes. Puck drop is set for 9 p.m.
