Mets INF Ronny Mauricio suffers torn ACL

The New York Mets received some terrible news on Tuesday.

Infielder Ronny Mauricio was diagnosed with a torn ACL that he suffered in a game Sunday in the Dominican Republic, according to SNY’s Andy Martino.

Mauricio, 22, made his Major League debut with the Mets last season, hitting .248 with two home runs and nine runs batted in over 26 games.

Brett Baty and Mark Vientos will likely share time at third base for the Mets in 2024.
