Seneca Falls car wash temporarily shut down after drunk driver goes off the rails

Police say a 57-year-old Waterloo man was taken into custody for DWI after a local car wash was temporarily shut down.

Ray Davis, 57, was arrested in Seneca Falls after an investigation at a car wash on State Route 5.

Police say Davis was inside the car wash, and drove the vehicle off the rails. This caused the car wash to be temporarily shut down.

Davis was charged with DWI and driving without a license. The latter was upgraded to a felony charge, police said.

He was released on an appearance ticket and will answer the charges at a later date in town court.
