Lyons AD Zac Young recognized by NIAAA as Certified Athletic Administrator

Lyons Central School District announced that Athletic Director Zachary Young has been recognized by the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA) as a Certified Athletic Administrator. The Certified Athletic Administrator distinction is reserved for an elite group of interscholastic athletic administrators nationwide who reach this level of professionalism.

Mr. Young stated that he is looking forward to using concepts and ideas learned from the NIAAA as well as “continuing to work with our student-athletes, coaches, and community to make Lyons Athletics the best program we can possibly be.”

To earn this distinction, Mr. Young demonstrated the highest level of knowledge and expertise in the field of interscholastic athletic administration.

The voluntary certification process included a thorough evaluation of Mr. Young’s educational background, experience, and professional contributions, as well as a rigorous, comprehensive written examination.

“Mr. Young’s leadership has had a positive impact on our athletic programs and our school as a whole,” stated LCSD Superintendent Dr. Matthew Barr. “His commitment to improvement continues to elevate our organization to new heights.”
