In a tragic turn of events, a car crash in the Town of Conesus resulted in the death of a passenger on Sunday night.
The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office reported that 51-year-old Robert Alford was the passenger in a vehicle traveling on Stagecoach Road when the car veered off the road. The vehicle struck a culvert before coming to a stop, leading to Alford’s fatal injuries.
Alford was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The driver, a 60-year-old woman, was trapped in the car and had to be extricated by emergency services. She was subsequently transported to a hospital for treatment. As of now, her medical condition remains undisclosed.
The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash to determine its cause.
