Jane Kanehl, a 63-year-old woman from Victor, tragically lost her life after being hit by a car in a Wegmans parking lot in Perinton.
The incident occurred last Thursday morning, shortly after Kanehl had exited her vehicle. Following the accident, she was urgently transported to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, where she succumbed to her injuries on Friday.
The preliminary investigation into the accident revealed that sun glare played a significant role in the unfortunate event.
The driver of the car that struck Kanehl was not publicly identified, but reportedly remained at the scene and fully cooperated with law enforcement officials.
