Syracuse got back in the win column with an 81-70 victory over Cornell at the JMA Wireless Dome on Tuesday night despite a late scare.
Cornell got within three with 2:40 remaining in regulation but after a timeout, Syracuse went on a run and pulled away from the Big Red to secure the victory.
Judah Mintz scored a game-high 28 points for the Orange (6-3), who have now beaten Cornell (7-2) for the 43rd straight time. Chris Bell added 19 points, and Justin Taylor chipped in 15 points.
Syracuse converted on 13-of-32 three-point attempts and shot 43% from the field.
