Newark man stopped for speeding charged with felony DWI, driving without a license

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office has reported the arrest of Michael A. Lawrence from Newark following a traffic stop in the Town of Lyons.

Lawrence faces several serious charges, including felony DWI, DWI common law, aggravated unlicensed operation, and operating without an interlock device.

The arrest occurred after deputies observed Lawrence driving above the state speed limit, leading to a traffic stop.
