The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office has reported the arrest of a 36-year-old Macedon man, Richard D. Deverell, following a personal injury crash that occurred on October 20 in the town of Walworth.
According to officials, the accident involved a single vehicle and resulted in non-life-threatening injuries to the driver.
The incident took place at the intersection of West Walworth Road and Parkside Trail. Deverell, who was driving the vehicle, was transported to a local hospital by ambulance. Subsequent investigations revealed that Deverell was operating the vehicle with a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .20%, significantly above the legal limit.
Deverell was processed at the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and later released with traffic tickets. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Walworth Court to face charges related to the crash.
