Sean Puffy Combs, a prominent figure in the music industry, is facing a new sexual assault allegation, making it the second such accusation against him.
Joi Dickerson-Neal, a former Syracuse University student, filed a complaint in the Manhattan Supreme Court, alleging that Combs drugged, raped, and secretly recorded the assault during a dinner date at Wells Restaurant in Harlem in 1991.
At the time of the incident, Combs was working in A&R for Uptown Records, while Dickerson-Neal was a college student on winter break.
This accusation follows closely on the heels of a lawsuit filed by singer Cassie Ventura, who charged Combs with a decade of rape and abuse during their previous romantic relationship.
In her complaint, Dickerson-Neal claims that she only became aware of the recording of the assault when a male friend informed her that he and others had seen the “sex tape.”
The lawsuit states that Combs had administered drugs to her, leaving her unable to stand or walk independently. Following the alleged incident, Dickerson-Neal’s life reportedly spiraled into turmoil.
She was hospitalized for depression and suicidal thoughts shortly after returning to Syracuse University and eventually dropped out, citing an inability to function due to the trauma experienced.
