The Syracuse Orange (5-6) close the regular season on Saturday at 2 p.m. when they host the Wake Forest Demon Deacons (4-7) at the JMA Wireless Dome.
Syracuse is looking to reach postseason play for the second time in as many years with a win. The Orange have not reached back-to-back bowl games since 2012-13, which came split between the program’s final season in the BIG EAST and first in the ACC.
The Orange have dropped six of seven since starting the season 4-0, leading to the firing of head coach Dino Babers. Meanwhile, the Demon Deacons have also lost seven of eight since opening the season 3-0.
Syracuse and Wake Forest have met 12 times since 2002, with each team winning six games, but the Demon Deacons have won the last three matchups.
