Syracuse cruises past Chaminade in final game of Maui Invitational (full coverage)

The Syracuse Orange snapped a two-game skid with a dominant 105-56 victory over the Chaminade Silverswords on Wednesday night in the final game of the Maui Invitational. With the win, SU improved to 4-2 on the season.

Syracuse shot 56% (44-for-78) from the field and 40% (12-for-30) from beyond the arc while outrebounding Chaminade 51-25.


Seven players finished in double figures for the Orange. Chris Bell led the way with a game-high 18 points. Justin Taylor, who was held scoreless in the first two games in Honolulu, netted 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, his first career double-double. Naheem McLeod and Kyle Cuffe poured in 13 points, while JJ Starling and Maliq Brown added 12. Quadir Copeland notched 10 points.

After playing three consecutive days, Syracuse will head home and get six days off before they face LSU at the JMA Wireless Dome on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
