Police in Ithaca say a 48-year-old has been arrested for arson following an apartment fire in the city.
It’s the second case of arson in less than two weeks in the Ithaca-area.
Around 3:40 p.m. on November 18 IPD, Ithaca firefighters, and Bangs Ambulance personnel were dispatched to Cherry Street for an apartment fire.
Following investigation, police and fire investigators found that the fire was intentionally set.
The suspect, identified as Brandon Hick, 48, of Ithaca was charged with second-degree arson, a Class B felony.
He was arrested on Monday and taken into custody without incident.
