The Geneva Area Chamber of Commerce conducted its November Business After Hours Networking Mixer at the historic Geneva Sons and Daughters of Italy lodge. The event, held on Wednesday, November 8, took place at Geneva Lodge 2397, located at 31 Prospect Ave.
This site, a former school from 1928 to 1981, has been repurposed to meet the club’s needs since its transition to a co-ed lodge in 2016. The building’s rich history and transformation were highlighted during the event, offering guests a unique insight into the local heritage.
Attendees of the mixer enjoyed an array of hors d’oeuvres and refreshments prepared by the club’s caterer, Peter Gillotte. The event also included tours of the renovated spaces, during which guests learned about the building’s history and the club’s current activities. These include Bingo nights, special events, and seasonal fundraisers. The lodge, capable of hosting large indoor parties for up to 200 guests, boasts outdoor spaces for gatherings, festivals, and a rentable pavilion, along with indoor and outdoor bocce ball courts.

Looking ahead, the Chamber’s final Business After Hours Mixer for 2023 is scheduled for December 13 at the Smith Center for the Arts, featuring the unveiling of a new logo and regional rebranding. Admission fees are set at $5 for members and $10 for non-members, including 2023 BAH Season Pass holders. Reservations are required a week in advance. These monthly events, held on the second Wednesday from 4-6 PM, are exclusive hosting opportunities for Chamber members and are supported by various local partners. The Geneva Area Chamber of Commerce, operating regionally, continues to promote its members and their services across the Finger Lakes region.
