Rochester woman faces felony charges after illegally getting $5,000+ in benefits in Wayne County

Deputies arrested a Rochester woman following an investigation involving Wayne County Department of Social Services. 


A fraud complaint was received by authorities in Wayne County, which prompted an investigation and arrest of Darlene Temple, a 68-year-old resident of the city.

She was charged with grand larceny, welfare fraud, offering a false instrument for filing, and other charges after collecting over $5,000 worth of benefits illegally.

She was arraigned on those felony charges and remanded to the Wayne County Jail.
