Penn Yan man faces felony charges after violating court order, contacting protected party

Police arrested a Penn Yan man following a domestic incident in the village.


John Mattero, 56, of Penn Yan was arrested on November 10 on felony charges after he violated a court order.

According to a news release, Mattero was charged with first-degree criminal contempt and aggravated family offense, both felonies.

He’s accused of having contact with a protected party named in the court order.

He was arrested and will answer the charges at a later date.
