Elmira man skips court on felony charges in Steuben County, taken into custody for bail jumping

Deputies in Steuben County arrested an Elmira man following a report from Elmira police that a man in their custody was involved in an investigation there.


Joseph Valley, 54, was charged with a Class A or B felony at an earlier date in Steuben County and failed to appear in court.

A warrant was issued and after being taken into custody Valley was charged bail jumping – also a felony charge.

He was remanded to the Steuben County jail in lieu of bail.
