A collaborative operation involving New York State Police Troop B’s Violent Gangs and Narcotics Enforcement Team (VGNET), the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department, and the Plattsburgh City Police Department resulted in multiple arrests following the execution of a search warrant in Plattsburgh. The warrant was served at Northwoods Landing, apartment 418 on Plaza Boulevard, as part of an extensive narcotics trafficking investigation.
During the search, law enforcement officials seized approximately 100 grams of fentanyl, 25 grams of crack cocaine, and around $11,500 in U.S. currency. The operation led to the arrests of Arnold Latulip, 61, from Plattsburgh, Bailey Nichols, 19, from Utica, and Tarik Patterson, 42, also from Utica. Charges ranged from first-degree criminal nuisance to criminal possession and sale of a controlled substance.
Latulip was arraigned in the Town of Peru Court and is being held at Clinton County Jail pending a later court appearance. Nichols received an appearance ticket for the Town of Plattsburgh Court, and Patterson, facing two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance, was similarly arraigned and remanded to county jail. The successful operation highlights the effectiveness of interagency cooperation in addressing drug trafficking and underscores the ongoing commitment to maintaining public safety.
