The arrest occurred after deputies responded to a call on the westbound shoulder of State Route 104 near Lincoln Road. Willis, who had an active warrant from the City of Rochester Police Department, allegedly resisted when deputies attempted to detain her on the warrant. The struggle resulted in an injury to one of the deputies, who later received treatment at a local hospital and was released.

Willis was apprehended and brought to Wayne County Jail, where she awaited a centralized arraignment. Assistance at the scene was provided by Ontario Ambulance and the New York State Police.
