ELECTION PREVIEW: Who’s running for Geneva City Council? Will civility be the biggest issue for voters?

Who will makeup the next Geneva City Council after voters make their voices heard on Election Day and new members take office in January? While a lot has been made of party affiliation — interviews with the candidates as part of our election series revealed that for the most part — the issues are universal.

The candidates are all hearing about water infrastructure issues related to heavy rain and flooding, as well as maintenance of municipal services. All of the candidates we featured also noted that a stronger relationship was needed between the Town and City moving forward. While each candidate pledged to be civil if elected — voters are definitely looking for more than that this time around out of City Council.
